Michael Forst Named Official Team Photographer for the Albany Firebirds

The Albany Firebirds are excited to announce Michael Forst as the Official Team Photographer for the 2025 season in Arena Football One (AF1), the premier arena football league in the world. Michael, who joined the Firebirds in their return season in 2024, will continue to capture the high-energy moments that define the team’s legacy.

A graduate of Colonie High School and currently attending SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Michael began his journey with the Firebirds as an intern during the 2024 season. He attended every home game and covered the team throughout their season, including ArenaBowl 33. His dedication, passion, and skill in photography earned him the role of Official Team Photographer for the 2025 season.

“I’m incredibly excited and honored to continue working with the Firebirds and be part of such a legendary team in arena football,” said Michael. “It’s a privilege to capture the excitement and energy of the Firebirds and bring those moments to life for our fans.”

As the Official Team Photographer, Michael will work alongside the Firebirds’ media team under the guidance of Director of Media Ben Nelson. Michael’s commitment to his craft and his enthusiasm for the team are evident in the work he’s done so far, and he looks forward to contributing even more to the team’s visual presence throughout the 2025 season.
