Albany Firebirds Announce Re-Signing of Wide Receiver Cameron Alves

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Albany, N.Y. - Wednesday, September 23 - The Firebirds are taking full advantage of the Arena Football One re-signing period, bringing back key players from the previous season on offense and defense. Today, the Albany Firebirds are proud to announce the re-signing of wide receiver Cameron Alves for the 2027 season.

Alves, a former Stonehill College and Central Connecticut State University football player, first signed with Albany in May of 2026 and played four games for the team, becoming a solid and reliable receiver throughout his time with the Firebirds while averaging 16.5 yards per reception. In our June matchup against the Kats, Alves had a breakout performance, recording 94 yards and two touchdowns.

We look forward to his return in 2027, and we can’t wait to see what he can do in year two in Albany.
