Albany Firebirds Announce Re-Signing of Defensive Lineman Khris Walton

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Albany, N.Y. — Wednesday, September 16 — The Arena Football One re-signing period is continuing with multiple signings across the league. Today, the Firebirds are proud to announce the re-signing of defensive lineman Khris Walton for the 2027 season.

Walton, a former Tiffin University football player, first signed with Albany in May 2026. From his first game against Oceanside through the Arena Crown, Walton consistently proved to be a force on the defensive line, recording multiple tackles in nearly every game while adding multiple sacks throughout the season.

Walton was a key contributor to Albany’s playoff run and Arena Crown appearance, and the Firebirds can’t wait to see what he can do in his second season in Albany.
